The beginning :P

Today is my first official blog for Shannanagans13.

I love love love to crochet.  It is a great way to make cute items and be able to pass the time.  I have tried sewing, and it is wonderful in its own way, but you can't take it with you unless you want to sew by hand, and that takes a LONG TIME!!!  I still need to finish my grandmother's flower garden quilt that I sewed by hand.  I have hand quilting left, and have not finished it yet.  I'll have to take a picture some time.  It was definitely an experience that taught me patience.

Before Etsy and being able to sell some of my items, I donated most of the things I made.  I made Raggedy Ann Dolls for a while and donated about 100 of them one year for Missionaries to give to the children where they were heading.  I have made hats with the (K)nifty Knitter-- how do you spell it????  Anyway, and I have crochet hats to donate.  I have given blankets and booties to the family life pregnancy center.  Then I discovered Etsy, and the customers have stretched my crocheting abilities with wanting new and different things.

At some point I need to get my jotted down patterns in a user friendly form and sell them.  But this is not that season in my life :)

I modified the sandals a little so I could make the left one my way.  And I also modified the headbands a bit.  But if you make them just like the patterns, I believe you will love the outcome!
