Tried a few new things

Pooh Bear was fun.  It took some doing getting his placement right.  I really like how he turned out.  Now I need to find more buttons for the eyes :)

 The Frog Prince was a pattern that I saw that I just really wanted to try.  I think it is soooo cute!!!

 I had to mimic a set that I made a while back because a customer wanted the hat and booties like the one I had posted.  I wrote down the directions this time.  I didn't last time and ended up having to recreate the wheel, so to speak :)

 I'm pretty excited that someone sent me a picture of their baby wearing this color sock monkey outfit.  The babies are truly what my my outfits cute!!!!  I had to make up one in this color so that I could show off the precious baby wearing this set!

I'm Back :)

Things were pretty crazy for a while there.  I took a bit of a break so I could concentrate on getting orders out and making new items.  But I am back for now.

I can't catch you up on all of the things since my last post, but I can catch you up on recent items.

I made a bee hat and hiney cover.  It was from http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/p/crocheting.html.

I love this place.  She has free patterns and they are so cute!!!!  I highly recommend checking her out!

 This is for a 0-3 month baby.  The hat is a little over 13" around and 6" tall.  The little bootie cover is 7" long from the middle side to side.  It would look so cute on a baby :)

I also had a request for water bottle cozies--the normal 16.9 oz size.

This is the last item of today.  It is a preemie Owl hat.  I am going to send it to Oregon to a wonderful nurse who LOVES the babies she cares for. :)  I need to make a few more.

I want to take a shot at posting a pattern, but I'm more of a jotter down person who can read my own scribbles than I am a person who writes where someone else can follow.  :P  I will have to give it a try sometime.

New--- bigger shell turtle

After measuring the shell for the turtle, I realized it came up 2 inches shorter than the pattern called for.  Now I have a preemie pattern :)

For the newborn size I had to use a larger needle and add a few rounds.  I think the finished project is just as cute as the smaller one.  Lets hope the customer that I made it for likes it :)

Princess Crown and Diaper Cover and the Turtle in Newborn

I had a very long day today.  I had to drive my mom out of town to the doctor's office so that she could get a blood transfusion with iron added.  It was an hour drive each way, about a 3 hour procedure, then we stopped by two craft shops for yarn for miscellaneous projects and jewels for the crown.  We ended our trip at Chick-fil-a.  It was good food :) and it was a nice trip, but I am TIRED!

While mom had her transfusion I worked on the turtle that a customer requested and after ripping it out a few times because I messed up on two hexagons (I made them 6 sided....oops)  the project is completed and I love the way it turned out.  The crown is adorable also :)
